Journalism

If you are a journalist, then you have likely heard that the H-1B or the I visa are your options for working in the U.S.

This is true, but they are not the only options. And because of the issues with the H-1B lottery and the restrictions on the I visa, we have had many of our clients achieve their employment goals under another visa option: the O.

Though generally misunderstood, the O is a great option for journalists who work: (1) strictly in print for one publication; (2) in video production for multiple outlets (whether print, digital, television or film); (3) in the new-age of journalism that combines programming, editing, and/or reporting; or (4) in a combination of any of these areas.

We would be happy to schedule an initial consultation with you to discuss which options would be best suited to you and your circumstances, so, please feel free to contact us either via e-mail or phone.

We look forward to hearing from you and wish you well!

And as an aside, you’ll notice that this section is noticeably shorter than some others: we’re aware of how much journalists appreciate directness, so we hope you appreciate its succinct nature!)

Do you require entry to the US in 60 days or less? (required)
